Sowing The Seeds Of Love Year Made 1989 Director Jim Blashfield	Since Sowing The Seeds was written as a Beatles tribute, the video is naturally a throwback to 1960's psychadelia as well, with plenty of arty special effects going on. It was shot in Portland, Oregon, USA in the summer of 1989. This video won two MTV Video Music Awards the following year: Breakthrough Video and Best Special Effects.
